Jeremy Scott Ready-to-wear Fall 2011

This collection grabbed me at first sight! I love the fun colors, futuristic, Xenon girl of the 21st century if she lived in Tokyo vibe.
the hair and make up couldn't be a more perfect accent to this show.
Anything nostalgic i adore, especially when it take you back to either the 60s-70s, the 90's or as of late- the early 2000's bubble gum pop.
With that being said, the designer pulled lots of inspiration from shows like "Clueless".

"The more dominant [inspiration] one was the nineties. "I was thinking a lot about 1994: going to school, getting dressed up to go to parties, the enthusiasm I had," Scott continued. There was bombast to spare in his haute nineties—so joyfully vulgar you wanted to call it bas nineties—furry neon dresses in angora (a new material for the label), plastic jackets, and Manic Panic-ed pigtails. Scott mentioned Gregg Araki's Nowhere as a reference; Clueless was in the mix, too."

It's funny, I can recall countless times discussing with friends the way fashion recycles itself, and in that discussion, years and years ago we'd say how sloppy and unappealing 90's grunge was. Yet now it's one of my absolute favorite ways to dress to express myself (along with the 60s and 70s but i never discouraged those decades before). And only a few years ago, or less, I remember discussing how UgLaY the early thousands were.. with the stark silhouettes and for some reason i think big boas and glitter and board straight hair and pale blue eye shadows with either a very strappy barely there shoe, or a chunky platform in patent leather white.
Shame on me. I'm starting to really dig the 00's montage

these are my favorite looks from the Jeremy Scott fall 2011
dip-dyed pulled taught pig tails<3
color block electrifying eyes<3
all in contrast to the what seems like illuminated pale skin

Want.

Xenon. Am I right?

If these do not embody 1994 then I must be a loony bird.
amazing. would I wear them? I just might.

not sure if it is a two piece, but candy colored motorcycle jacket.
love.

I would love to wear this throwback shearling jacket with the bright yellow shorts.
this model however...

the epitome of bubble gum. fuzzy, pink, clear plastic. yup

id wear it

id wear it

sooo wear it

how I wish this gem were in my possession over winter. i LOVE itttt.

I love the whimsicality of Fashion. Some hate that runway can be so "absurd".  It is art and with art one should never set limits for their imaginations. Most people do not have the means or the interest to wear some of the more outlandish garments that runway usually showcases.
it's about fun! celebrate it!

The months of September 2010- November, parts of December 2010
undoubtedly can be summed up perfectly with many of
my favored musicians at the time and of all time.
As for myself, weird as it may seem to some,
I keep a book where I write them all down when
feeling a very special fit to my life, and current
burdens, even emotional epiphanies.
The great and the difficult.
all seemingly beautiful and gratifying bridges to
have crossed.

however, at the puny times, segments and songs such as these few
expressed me more than I could have.

---seven a.m.,
the garbage truck beeps as it backs up
and I start my day thinking about what I've thrown away.
Could I push rewind?
The credits traverse signifying the end but I missed the best part.
Could we please go back to start?

Forgive my indecision

Then again, you're always first when no one's on your side.
But then again, a day will come when I want off that ride.

eleven a.m.,
by now you would think that I would be up
but my bedsheets shade the heat of choices I've made.
And what did I find?
I never thought I could want someone so much
'cause now you're not here and I'm knee deep in
that old fear.

Forgive my indecision... I am only a man

Then again, you're always first when no one's on your side.
But then again, a day will come when I want off that ride.

Twelve pm and my dusty telephone rings.
Heavy head up from my pillow, who could it be?
I hope it's you.

Have you ever tried to step in my shoes
Will you ever try to balance that beam
And if you ever try to fit in my shoes,
They'll never be quite as soft as they seemed.

Within the constrained limits of suburbia
Harbors a heavy soul with unbreakable dreams
within her mind she finds euphoria
within euphoria she soars with her heroes
feeding her with a silver spoon of eccentricity
breeding her anew with the faith of a conquerer
driving her into fervent productivity
She is dripping with authenticity
Voided by mandatory activity
She is dripping with the lust of pursuit
Constrained by green paper prevention
From the contagious courage of her artists
She will dance her movement to her drum
She will seek the golden pavement

I anticipate for her to take flight
We melt into such beautiful minds
Soon we will cut the red ribbon in sync
Never quit scaling up exponentially
Two halves makes a whole
I am in fact this whole old soul

I am Introspective.

I am Affected.
I am a curiouser
I am self aware
I am a soul seeker
I am a pioneer without a frontier
I am mentally androgynous
I am absorbent
I am ever evolving.

I didn't even vaguely dawn on me to use an exterior adjective to describe myself. Such as "I am a sister." or "I am of moderate height" or something..
Now I am fixated on how different people think in such different ways.
 introspective vs. extro.
simple. yet vast.
